Shaking things up. It’s what I love to do. Puns are another thing I love to throw your way. Especially when they involve Epilepsy. I have learned to laugh at this crazy thing that doctors can’t seem to figure out. While laughing though, I noticed there were people wondering what I was having a giggle about. Not wanting to laugh alone, I decided to have some fun spreading Epilepsy awareness while giving some laughs. There is already little awareness surrounding this illness so why not have some fun, spread some awareness and make someone smile. I call these little tid bits of mine “Purple Facts”. I love these and I know you will too. Made to spread awareness and also debunk some myths surrounding Epilepsy, I’m excited to share one today. In fact, It’s sure to be a real tongue biter. 🤣👀
Sounds Like a Tongue Biter!
“Oh shit! He’s having a seizure! Put something in his mouth so he doesn’t swallow his tongue!” I can’t tell you how many times I have heard this. At first, it was funny. It was downright hilarious. To just hear this and give people that “Wait, what?” look was gold. My fun turned to “Okay people, seriously?”. If you suffer from Epilepsy, you’ve probably heard this a time or two or fifty. Just like me, you know this is impossible. While you can bite it all to hell, you’re not going to be having tongue for dinner, don’t worry. To those of you thinking about putting something in our mouth, that’s probably not a good idea. Odds are, you’re going to injure both parties. Just don’t go near our mouth. Turn us over so we don’t choke should we vomit and let the seizure subside. Need a visual aid? Check out the video below. I’m sure it will help as well as provide a laugh. Should you decide to go diving in our mouths, have some band-aids handy.
Please, if you like your fingers and don’t want to be bit, don’t try to put anything in our mouth. We know you just wanna help but we don’t wanna get hurt and/or hurt you. Yea, it sucks, seizures suck but hey, what can you do? I love you guys. I’m going to drop some Purple Facts periodically so be sure to check back, subscribe to my blog if you haven’t already as well as follow me on Instagram. Drop a comment below and let me know what you think. I always love hearing from you guys on all my platforms. It’s what makes all this possible. Until next time, stay safe. Oh and relax, it’s natural! 💚🤟🏼
