Weekly Strains

Weekly Strain #1

What’s up guys! I hope you’re enjoying everything so far. I know I have loved every minute of what I do and then publishing it for you guys. Nothing brings me more joy than to know that I have helped someone who may have been lost along their journey on the path to wellness. We all get a little lost every now and then and need some guidance. It happens. Wouldn’t the world be such a better place if instead of throwing shade, we traded guidance? I often imagine a world but then I realize, it would be boring to live in such a perfect place. If there was nothing wrong then there would be nothing right and that my friends is some words of wisdom. Now that your mind is semi blown, let’s get to the topic at hand shall we. Today, I’m adding our very first weekly strain to what I’m sure will be an ever growing collection. So, what strain is taking the spot and is lucky enough to the very first pick? Grab your tray, your flower, your wax, whatever you’re medicating with and let’s go find out!

This is one of those heavy hitters, leaning more toward the indica side.

Coming in for our very first pick in our line-up of weekly strains. One that has helped me over the years with my epilepsy. Easing my anxiety, helping with the stresses of the day and tucking me right into bed is the famous Bubba Kush. I have had many nights with this strain after work, coming in from the greenhouse or a long day out and about. It’s the perfect strain to come home to and break out the RAW papers while chilling out. This was and still is one of my hemp strains I keep on hand to help aid with my insomnia I suffer from. Amazing strain for anyone having trouble getting to sleep at night or even staying asleep. If you’re trying to decide if this strain is right for you, you first need to ask yourself what you’re going to be using it for and when you tend to smoke. Are you going to smoke during the evening? Are you using this for sleep? If so, maybe give it a try. If you intend on smoking in the morning, to help jump start the day, this might not be the strain for you. This is one of those heavy hitters leaning more toward the Indica side. Top terpenes present in this beauty, per Hemp Hop, are gonna be Caryophyllene, Limonene and Humulene. Bubba Kush is a nice boutique hemp strain. Including terpenes, she comes roughly at 19% total cannabinoids. The genetics are kinda spotty though.

The lineage of this beauty is so blurry and I have my fucking glasses on, so. However, the stories surrounding this strain are funny as shit. The main one you’ll hear is the one about the guy from Florida. The story goes, Bubba and his roommate in college got a bag of cannabis that contained seeds. As harvest time approached, realizing they needed a name for their crop, these guys went with “Kush” not knowing there was already a strain with that name already. So now it goes onto Mardi Gras and of course, Bubba gets more seeds and, doing what he does best, he plants them. Once again, needing a name, he names them after himself because why not. He name’s the crop “Bubba”. Time passes, life went on for Bubba and he moved to LA where he set up a new crop for his beauties. The Kush strain didn’t take too well to the move. Not wanting to give up, it did what cannabis plants sometime do to save itself. It turned into a hermaphrodite. By doing this though, it pollinated the entire crop as well as the Bubba strain. That folks, is the story, well one of them, behind Bubba Kush. Is it true? Who knows. Until we have a good verification system on strains, we will never know and the search will go on. Getting the Bubba Kush without the “high”, an unknown strain of CBD rich hemp is bred with pre-98 Bubba Kush, according to Plain Jane Hemp, by breeders Sovereign Fields.

To my North Carolina family, if you order from Hemp Hop, depending on location, you may qualify for local delivery…

There are many farms and dispensaries that cultivate this beauty. The two that I have found that have the best Bubba Kush strains on hand are Hemp Hop Farms and Plain Jane Hemp. To my North Carolina family, if you order from Hemp Hop, depending on where you live, you may qualify for local delivery so check them out. Hemp Hop is one of my favorite Hemp Dispensaries in North Carolina in terms of strain selection and it rotates which is always nice. The Bubba Kush strain by Plain Jane is amazing as well in terms of quality. Plain Jane offers this as a stand alone strain in different quantities or if you’re having trouble deciding, you can get this in a 4 gram sampler pack. Plain Jane Hemp had some amazing strains as well. If you haven’t checked out my posts on both these dope ass companies, check them out. Hemp Hop Farms is in our Hometown Heroes section with other hidden gems and Plain Jane Hemp can be found in our blog with other great CBD Companies.

Bubba Kush is one of my favorite strains. I always find myself going back to it. It’s like, one of those OG strains. A strain you can just sit back and smoke on. I remember before Hemp strains hit the market and smoking a strain I got my hands on. A cannabis strain my buddy had said was Bubba Kush. It looked amazing and had those earthy, wood-like, lemony smells so I was inclined to believe it. It was so dam good. I definitely have a memory of it being a couch locker for sure. It’s sister hemp strain is no different. Usually if I stray off the trail of strains, it’s because I’m trying something new. For the most part, I stick to what I know and love. If I loved that strain I tried, I’ll add to my weekly rotates. Bubba Kush has been something I have been smoking on for years. When putting an order at Hemp Hop or going to my local Hemp shop, if they have it, I’m grabbing it. Thanks for reading guys. Have you had a chance to try Bubba Kush yet? Who did you get it from? Drop it in the comments below! I might want to scoop it up. Every farm cultivates their strain different. If you haven’t tried this strain yet, you’re missing out big time! I love you guys! Stay safe. Stay Medicated. As always, relax, it’s natural!💚🤟🏼
